Ginger tea
A wonderfully comforting ginger tea recipe, which will make your senses travel to an amazing spa on the other side of the world.
Ingredients
- 1 mug boiling water
- 1 tea bag black tea (e.g. English breakfast)
- 3 to 4 thin slices ginger root (1mm thin)
- 1 tsp honey (I love acacia honey)
Instructions
-
Add the black tea bag to your mug of boiling water and leave it there just enough time to create a beautiful colour.
-
Add the slices of ginger root to your mug and the generous teaspoon of honey. Combine and enjoy ;)
Recipe Notes
You could make variations of this beautiful tea by adding fresh lemon juice, fresh lime juice or even lemongrass.
This is more of an adult recipe. I would not serve it to children below 1 year old because of the presence of honey and I would use decaffeinated black tea for children.
